TOUCHING LIGHT PRINTS

All prints are made digitally using archival quality inks and paper.  Digital printing affords the greatest control over reproducibility of the final print.  Today’s inks and papers provide image stability rivaling the best chemically processed prints.  Today, these qualities have led most commercial photographers to adopt digital reproduction as the method of choice for fine-art printing.

Digital reproduction of fine-art prints requires a printer of highest quality.  At Touching Light Photography, all large-format prints (8” x 10” and larger) are produced on an Epson 7600 pigment-based wide-format printer, using customized color profiles to provide accurate color-matching and the widest color gamut.  All of our “giclee” (inkjet) images are printed on Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper using genuine Epson Ultrachrome (pigment-based) inks for the longest lifespan.  Postcard prints are printed with genuine Epson DuraBrite (also pigment-based) inks on Epson DuraBrite Glossy Photo Paper.  Postcard prints are produced on an Epson Printer with Epson DuraBrite pigment-based ink.

LIMITED EDITION PRINTS

At Touching Light, most prints are available as signed, limited edition Prints.  To accommodate the different needs of our customers, each print will be produced in two or three sizes, as specified for each print, and will be limited to a specified number of prints in each size.  For example, our largest prints, 24” x 36” (borderless) may be produced in a limited edition of 25 prints at 24” x 36”, 25 prints at 18” x 30”, and 25 prints at 12” x 18”.

The term “limited edition” refers only to the original, signed prints (produced by the giclee printing process described above.  The images produced in limited edition prints may still be used by Touching Light Photography in other print forms, such as books, magazines, or postcards.

Limited Edition prints will be signed, dated (year) and numbered with archival ink, and are typically signed on the image near the lower right (most common) or lower left corners.  If you would prefer a signature on the back of the print, or in the margin, please specify in your order instructions.
